PE days:
Our PE days are Wednesdays, the children are to come in dressed in their PE kit on those days.
Kit consists of black shorts or joggers and a white t shirt. If needed children can also wear a black hoody. These should be plain without logos.
Home Learning
In Year 1 homework is given out on a Friday and expected in on the following Wednesday.
Homework will consist of:

Our current English text
This is our current text for English, we will explore this for about three weeks. The Writing Root begins with the class receiving a toy bus as a gift and sharing what they know about buses orally and in writing. Children then go on to read the book, exploring the adventures within and writing suggestions to Naughty Bus to improve their behaviour. Once they have finished reading the story, children sequence the key events and retell the story orally, through pictures and through writing. Children then go on to plan their own versions of Naughty Bus, using the local environment to inspire ideas for this before creating a story map and writing their stories over several days. At the end of the sequence, there is an opportunity for children to share their stories aloud with an audience.
