Lightning speed

Maths - Autumn 1

This term focuses heavily on number and place value, with a view to apply it to addition and subtraction. We will start to look at times table facts and continue to widen our understanding of them over the course of this term. As always, we will be developing our reasoning skills with a variety of problems. Please ensure your children are playing TT Rockstars consistently.

English - Autumn 1

Over the course of this half term, the children will be exploring a text in a new format. We will focus on a range of traditional tales in order to develop the children’s SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar skills). The children will continue to focus on developing their skills from year 2, in order to apply these skills confidently throughout their writing.
