Homework will be sent home every Friday and should be in by the following Tuesday. 

Your child will receive one piece of maths (on MyMaths) and one English activity per week. They will also recieve a spelling list matching the work they have completed in class that week ready for a spelling test the followong Monday. 

Children will bring home a reading book and should be heard read at least 3 times a week. Children should bring their books to school each day to be heard by the year 4 adults. 

Times Tables

The Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) is a key stage 2 assessment to be taken by pupils at the end of year 4 (in June). The purpose of the MTC is to make sure the times tables knowledge is at the expected level. Children will answer 25 questions with times tables up to 12x12 under timed conditions.

Autumn 2 / Spring 1 Topic - Law and Order

Topic– Law and Order

Law and Order is a topic based on the concept of justice, with a key focus on citizenship. We will look at the importance of leadership and the meaning of democracy and its origins before moving on to how this is applies practically in communities. We finish by recognising issues of justice, rights and responsibilities in our own setting and the wider world.
